Main Characteristics
Form
The shell design of the EX-ZERO took its inspiration from the SHOEI EX series that was released in the 1980s, with a classic off-road style. The “Ducktail” shape of the back of the helmet and the mouthpiece design with mesh filter creates a simple yet stylish form.
CJ-3 Shield
The EX-ZERO is equipped with the CJ-3 shield for the inner shield. This shield keeps distortion down to a minimum, offering a clear field of vision. The shield features a superlative design that’s shaped like a bubble shield, which also offers the benefit of keeping out of the way of your eyeglasses or sunglasses. Further, it reduces “rolling-in” effect of wind turbulence.
Preset levers on both sides of the helmet are used to adjust the position of the lower edge of the shield to match the rider’s facial shape and nose size, with three settings.
A shield tab on both sides is used to directly open or close the shield.
You can put away the shield if you just want to wear your goggles instead, to match the style you want.
The shield is available in four colors (as options) aside from the standard-equipped clear color

V-480 Peak
The V-480 peak specially designed for the EX-ZERO is available as an option, for a classic off-road look. The peak can be easily attached using the three hooks on the brow of the EX-ZERO.

Interior Parts
All interior parts can be removed, to keep them clean and sanitary. The interior surface is completely covered with raised fabric for a soft feel when wearing the helmet. Special attention was also given to the fabric color, furthering the impression of a classic helmet.
Synthetic nubuck leather is used in the front part near the shield. It prevents unwanted reflections into the shield.
E.Q.R.S.
System for removing helmet in an emergency in the event of an accident
This system has been designed to make it possible for another person to be able to quickly do rescue work just in case the rider needs assistance. The E.Q.R.S. provides a special ribbon on the cheek pads that can be pulled during a medical emergency to easily remove the cheek pads from the helmet. That makes it possible to easily get the helmet off of the rider.
*Please do not use the E.Q.R.S. when removing cheek pads for maintenance.
Look for this sticker on the helmet side.
Remove the cheek pads by lightly pulling on the red ribbons to pull the ribbons all the way out, and then hook your fingers onto the ribbons to extract.
